Dave Nieuwstraten Prior to founding Pivot Group, Dave held senior marketing consulting positions for GVNW Consulting and Cathey, Hutton & Associates (now CHR Solutions) where he ran their marketing consulting practice. Dave has a business degree, with a marketing emphasis, from California State University San Diego. He has also completed the AMA School of Marketing Research, University of Notre Dame. Dave serves on the board of directors of NTCA’s Foundation for Rural Service and numerous industry and civic committees. Dave Nieuwstraten is a frequent writer and speaker on research and marketing-related topics.

Bernardin Arnason (Bernie) is a well-respected leader within the independent telecom industry and is a frequent speaker and panelist at regional and national events. Prior to Pivot Group, Bernie spent seven years with the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) as the vice president of business development. He also worked for Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) in network operations, where he led a team in the large business/special services group. Bernie has a comprehensive understanding of the telecom industry and brings a wealth of experience in IPTV, broadband, wireless and next generation telecom strategies. He has an extensive network throughout the telecom industry. Bernie holds a bachelor of arts in Economics from the University of the District of Columbia and a Master of Science in Telecommunications from the Johns Hopkins University.

Erik Doescher has been a consultant for Pivot Group for the past three years, and has more than 12 years years of experience in advertising and marketing. He specializes in marketing communications, strategic planning, and business development. Erik's specific skills include: development and implementation of marketing plans creative direction advertising and promotions copywriting and copyediting branding and image strategies public relations data utilization and management Erik's has held positions as the head of marketing for two Oregon communications companies and has further experience as a freelance marketing consultant. In addition, Erik has worked as an auditor/accountant for a Portland (Oregon) public accounting firm. Erik holds a bachelor's of science in Advertising and a bachelor's of science in Accounting, both from Portland State University.

Monica Santi has been a senior marketing consultant for Pivot Group since 2004. Monica's client projects include new product launches, bundling initiatives, Web site redesigns, marketing consulting, and customer satisfaction surveys. Before joining Pivot, Monica spent seven years as the marketing manager for Canby Telephone Association (CTA), now Canby Telcom. While at Canby, Monica launched the company's first bundled services which resulted in considerable revenue growth and product penetration. Prior to joining the telecommunications industry, Monica was the executive director for the Salem Downtown Association, a membership organization that focuses on marketing businesses located in downtown Salem, Oregon. After earning a degree in economics from Willamette University, Monica spent two and a half years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay, South America. While there she served as small business consultant to rural food cooperatives. Monica is a member of the American Marketing Association and currently services on the board of the Oregon chapter of AMA.

Jordan Philips is a recent graduate from George Fox University. Prior to joining Pivot Group, Jordan spent three years operating his own freelance marketing, design and photography business. While in freelance, he worked with a variety of Portland-centric businesses; most notably, Portland Monthly Magazine where many of his photos were published. Jordan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Marketing with a minor in Graphic Design from George Fox University. While at George Fox, he served as student body president. With Pivot, Jordan provides marketing consulting, web design, advertising design, brand development, photography and related services.

Chelsea Radich has served as Pivot's Project Coordinator since December 2007. One of Chelsea's responsibilities at Pivot Group is to manage the call back survey portion of Pivot Group's business and coordinate the calling team used for customer phone surveys. To do this, Chelsea interviews, trains, manages and maintains Pivot Group's calling team of contract employees. Chelsea is also responsible for the initial analysis of collected data and report writing. Chelsea earned her bachelor of science in Speech Communication from Portland State University.

Thomas Johnson earned his Masters of Science in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Wyoming. He was the founder of ICDI, a statistical analysis and operations research firm. Thomas has conducted major surveys and needs analyses for the State of Wyoming Department of Wildlife, Columbia Region Association of Governments, Mentor Graphics, Genedax, BPA and others. He has conducted original research in circular distributions and non-parametric statistics.
